A current subject:
A continually increasing amount graduates
can’t find a job due to the inadequate
amount of apprenticeships being offered
because of the economical situation.
However three graduates began an apprenticeship
as an „IT-Systemkaufmann“
at the Siller AG in Heilbronn, a provider
of e-Business solutions: Blank-Adrin
Balmer, Marc Schäfer and Nicole
Frank. Additionally, Christoph Woywode
is learning the job „Fachinformatikor“
in the field of of applicacations development.
With these four promising junior staff
members the Siller AG is training over
requirement, but has still set its goal
to employ them all after their apprenticeship.
A short insight into the tasks and knowledge
of an „IT-Systemkaufmann/-frau“
after a successful apprenticeship: After
successfully completing the three-year
apprenticeship, IT-Systemkaufleute inform
and advise customers during the conception
of complete IT-solutions and are available
as central contact people. They lead
projects in business, technical and
organizational issues, like the introduction
or expansion of an IT-infrastructure
from the first advisory until the transfer
to the user. They analyze specific requirements
of the customer on a system, develop
possible solutions, calculate and develop
choices, inform about possibilities
of financing and do the final calculation.
IT-Systemkaufleute know the market and
the application of the companies products.
Managerial and work-organizational connections
are familiar to them. „FachinformatikerInnen“
also have great job prospects after
successfully finishing their apprenticeship:
In the field of applications development
they analyze work-flow and procedures
of the customer. With this information
they develop and program specific software
for customers. They test and modify
existing software and develop proper
user interfaces. They also remove bugs
and advise and school users. They use
methods of software-engineering as well
as modern software in their projects.
Also, they use the entire range of current
information- and telecommunications-technologies
as well as multimedia-applications.
The relationship to the Fachhochschule
Heilbronn and the support of the students
is maintained tightly: every semester
students of different courses work at
the Siller AG during their first or
second practical semester, in order
to establish a connection between theory
and practice. Since August/September
2003, Lance Lapointe, An Thai Nguyen
and Kai Schabinger are attending their
first practical semester within the
Siller AG. Andreas Baier and Sebastian
Lüttig will research write their
degree dissertation in the Siller AG,
with which they will gain the title
„Diplom-Betriebswirt“(FH). |
